Our HVAC system stopped heating and one local company that assessed the problem told us we needed to replace the main unit at a cost of just under $10,000. We asked Total Home Environmental HVAC for a second opinion and Gordon came out to inspect. He noticed that a recent modification to our HVAC system resulted in inadequate air return, which caused the failure. Further, he said the main unit was fine, but needed additional air return and a more efficient induction motor. He modified the air return elements and changed out the induction motor for a reasonable fee. Our HVAC system has been performing as expected since that time. We are very pleased with Total Home's experience, knowledge and accurate diagnosis. Highly recommend this local Torrance business!

Nathan and Gordon at Total Home Environmental are lifesavers!!! I was facing estimates of $10,000 to $20,000 to replace my entire AC and heating system but instead they indicated that my 25 year-old AC compressor could be resuscitated by thoroughly cleaning the terminals and adding a 5-2-1 compressor hard-start assist kit. No other HVAC technician that came out gave me this option but they pulled it off for a fraction of the price of a new install!!! They are honest and knowledgeable professionals! Thank you so much!!!

Total Home Environmental HVAC helped us replace our old condo AC unit. They were professional and polite the whole time. They were the only outfit that quoted me that I didn't feel was trying to sell me, rather they gave me a walkthrough of the entire job and everything they'd need to do. I like to know how things work and asked many questions, and the rep who was doing the initial quote, Nathan, was happy to keep explaining things to me until everything made sense. What particularly impressed me was what they did when the thermostat they brought was faulty: Gordon tracked down the factory representative for the LA area, asked him to test the setup themselves, and on discovering a fault got them to get a new thermostat out the next day. The whole team from start to finish was wonderful, I am happy I chose them and happily recommend them!

I sent an inquiry one day, the next day someone called me back with an appt. Within a few days I had a professional tech who got my heater up and running. Nathan is honest and very knowledgeable. We have been wanting to get a new heating system for our home. Our niece recently had her system upgraded and she was very pleased with Total Home Environmental service. We decided to contact them and they explained all our options. We decided to not only get a new heating system but added air conditioning as well. Sure glad we did as I never realized how the temperature in your home can affect other areas of your life. It seems we are sleeping better because of the controlled temperature. The whole experience was very positive from the planning to the actual installation. Definitely would recommend this company for any service/installation you are considering.

Even though they were problems with the original furnace the company promptly replaced it and have been wonderful in adjusting and making sure that the Heat and the air conditioning are working perfectly. I highly recommend this local Torrance company to take care of your eating and air conditioning needs!

I spoke with Gordon on Wednesday about repairing my Carrier AC furnace. After explaining to him the symptoms of my unit, he said he didn't think it was the motor. He sent Nathan out the following day to diagnose the furnace and it turned to be the motor. The wheel needed cleaning as well. Nathan took the motor out and returned the following day to complete the job. Gordon and Nathan, both, came across as being very nice, knowledgeable, and professional. They didn't pressure me into purchasing something I didn't need, like others had attempted to do. I'll give these guys a 5+.
